Brian Lee Reviews

I have had good and less good experiences with Brian Lee. He is very easy to get along with and is a social being. He is not always the best communicator and how he treats you depends on how you perform a lot of the time. I don't think he always creates the best culture

Is a good coach as long as things go well for the team performance and standing. As things becomes difficult in the standings, will shout at people on and off the field during game and get pretty intense without being cosntructive. One could say that he is passionate about the game but really he is passionate about getting results only and doesn't care if we play good soccer or not. The team did not have captains at the beginning of the season and mid seasons captains were chosen without the whole team being consulted. If there are team issues only part of the team will take a decision that may or not affect everyone on the team. Is pretty good at motivational speeches. Makes it known that he has favorites. The good thing and most forward thinking he has in my opinion is that he does not believe intense fitness training (like lifting heavy and heavy conditionning) makes you the best player and tends to include a ball in everything that his fitness related beside the gym. Will tell you that school is important as long as it doesn't interfere with soccer development. So he doesn't support ambitious majors.

Made up a bunch of lies to me and other teammates about money/playing time. Was never straight up and never stayed true to his word. I played a significant amount of minutes, so this review is coming from a unbiased player. His tactics were awful, his game plans were never that great. He was basically fired from lsu.

Great guy. If you apply yourself and work hard he will like you. Easy to talk to and will respect what you have to say if you do the right things and respect him too. Training isn't amazing but you get out what you put in.

Makes you feel like a joke if you try to bring up topics that are serious and want to discuss. Has no respect for players or their lives. Has ruined soccer for me and almost every one I talk to on the team. He's the worst coach I've had in my whole soccer career.

Great person off the field. Stresses the importance of a good team structure, yet the team was divided between starters and non starters. Don't believe everything he says because it all depends on how you play throughout the season. Has clear favorites and makes it known

Has little to no soccer knowledge. His lack of knowledge and outdated tactics leaves LSU at a huge disadvantage. He divides the team and has clear favorites. If you aren't a favorite, get used to being disrespected, humiliated and being left out. Threatens us often, has empty promises and gives up on his players. Takes the love out of the game.

Very poor knowledge of the game. If you are not of use to him on the field, he will not give you the time of day. Large divide between starters and non-starters. Has a habit of making empty promises, especially to new recruits.

Does not coach players often. Pointless activities when could be practicing. Style of play is kicking and chasing.

Great recruiter, but once you get in the program it's totally different. Doesn't know how to motivate players, and encouragement is minimum. Also creates large divide in the team between starters and practice players. If you aren't a top recruit, you don't have a fair chance.

Great guy off the field. Had a great experience personally with him as a player but I know many who have not.

The type of coach that takes the fun out of the sport most of us come into college loving. He needs to retire or move on soon.

Great guy not the best soccer coach. Cares a lot about you as a person but doesn't understand the definition of insanity.

He does want the best for his players and and is honest and direct in his coaching, but isn't the most knowledgeable about soccer and isn't the greatest at getting to know ALL his players

Good person off the field,but not the most upfront/direct person when it comes to soccer aspects. Questionable choices tactically soccer-wise at times as well.

Good guy. Not the best soccer coach. Doesn't connect well with female athletes.

Great person, not the best knowledge soccer wise but heart is always in the right place!
