Collegiate athletes spend a lot of time on their school work and athletics, but they also take time to contribute to their . According to .org, 87% of women and 83% of men annually while 44% volunteer monthly. Giving back to the community allows athletes to see the responsibility they have while wearing their university's name on their clothing.

Below are some of the many different community service events that collegiate athletes participate in:

  • Visit pantries
  • Help out at elementary schools
  • Run athletic camps for children
  • Serve at soup kitchens
  • Collect toys for children in need during the holidays 
  • Trunk-or-Treat 
  • Visit nursing homes
  • Have youth athletes play short games during half-time
