Pitch patterns, scoreboards and video screens, lights, bleachers, and a skyline (or maybe even a lake)–regardless of what perks they include, a stadium is an athlete's second home. They are made special by so many different factors and some stadiums are just spectacular. Here are the top five college soccer stadiums across the country.
5. Jeffrey Field – Penn State University
One of the best grass fields in the nation, being named Collegiate Soccer Field of the Year in 2006 by the SportsTurf Managers Association, Jeffrey Field is a proper stadium. A classic grass field with a pitch pattern that resembles that of a professional stadium, Jeffrey Stadium has seats for up to 5,000 fans, a press box, a video booth, and a view in the background of its other world-class facilities.

The stadium is located right next to the Utah mountain ranges which makes the stadium absolutely stunning to watch a soccer game. The stadium seats 4,200 fans in its main stand and has amazing field lights that make the stadium shine.
3. Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium – Northwestern University
Outside of the new turf field with great lights and new state-of-the-art video equipment, the factor that makes this stadium so special is the location. Placed right next to Lake Michigan, the view alone puts this stadium at number 3.

2. Spry Stadium – Wake Forest University
The stadium being fully lit, hosts several NCAA Championship matches along with several ACC tournament matches. Why? Probably because they have one of the best sound systems along with an amazing scoreboard to accompany their natural grass field. In addition, they are always packed with students in their 3000-seat attendance section and on the hill overlooking the north side of the stadium. Furthermore, the stadium has a press box with a rooftop observation deck, a new video board, and the great weather of North Carolina for their fans to enjoy.

Oh, and the field itself is an all-weather surface, one of the first in the United States, and has the downtown Omaha skyline looking over it. This stadium is a pure dream for a soccer player and is deservedly number one on this list.
