I was going on an overnight visit to a school for . The coach had shown a decent amount of interest in having me apply early decision, with his support. He led me to believe I would be playing for him and that I would be a great addition to the team. I arrived at the school in the afternoon on a Friday and went straight to meet with the coach. He immediately addressed me as , which is not my name. I corrected him that first time, yet he continued to call me Jason over and over again. I counted, he called me times throughout my visit, every time I corrected him. It got to the point where it was frustrating as well as funny at the same time. He did apologize every time he called me Jason, but come on.

After my meeting with the LAX coach, I was then introduced to my host for the night. He was a nice guy and seemed to care about me as a recruit. He brought me to the dining hall straight away, to which I was thankful. He mentioned that he had something he needed to do after dinner, so he gave me his number and left me with a friend of his who played . Hockey is not my sport, so not sure why I was left with a hockey player and not a lacrosse player. In retrospect, I should have spoken up about this.

Once my host left, I went with the hockey player to his dorm, where we hung out with other hockey players. About three hours in, I still did not hear anything from my host or any other lacrosse player, I texted my host, who replied saying he didn't feel well and was going to try and sleep. I ended up spending my overnight recruiting visit for lacrosse with the hockey team, and I only met one player on the lacrosse team. This player was my host! Needless to say, I began pursuing other schools much more seriously.
