“If you get tired, learn to rest, not quit.”
This quote highlights the fact that resting is an important life skill everyone needs to learn (especially athletes!). If you start something, put your best foot forward and finish it, even when you get tired. When this happens, it is okay to rest–everyone needs it. But don't quit on your goals.

An example of this in action is training. It's smart for athletes to take days off–recovery days allow for athletes to heal and take a mental break from their daily grind. But a rest day isn't the same as having a rest week, a month off, or quitting on your training plan entirely. Too much rest will take away from your progress and keep you from your goals.
Rest is important–if you're taking a road trip from Baltimore to San Diego, you'll probably need to stop for snacks, gas, and to stretch your legs along the way. So enjoy your rest days without throwing in the towel.
