While some athletes are still in-, other athletes are done competing for the season and others are waiting for theirs to start. Your break should be a relaxing time, but for me, practice during the used to cause a bunch of anxiety. Any athlete knows those pre-conditioning butterflies you get in your stomach when your coach says to get ready to run some miles or 120-yard sprints or even mentions testing. 

One night I came across the song “8:28” by Lecrae. In this song, he states, “that is only going to make you stronger.” It's kind of a play on words of “no pain, no gain.” From that moment, when I felt like giving up, I thought about what I could accomplish from experiencing this struggle. All it takes is one quote to get through those tough times.
