“Always make a total effort, even when the odds are against you.”

In every situation, there will be multiple factors that are out of our control. The wind may start blowing while a game tying home run is in the air. A hockey stick might break when trying to take the last shot of the game. Two things we can always control, though, are our attitudes and our efforts.

At the end of the day, no one wants to look back and wonder if they could have done more. By always keeping a positive and focused attitude and giving all of your effort, though, we can avoid ever questioning if more could have been done. This applies to schoolwork, athletics and every other facet of life.

By maintaining a positive attitude and high effort level, we can also mitigate our fear of failure. There is nothing wrong with being unsuccessful if it happens while giving everything you have!
