What are your expectations for incoming players in the classroom, in the weight room, and on the field?

They need to be a good student first and keep that up at the college [level]. Our team GPA is a 3.6, so we have high academic expectations. They are responsible for their own weight training and [are] given a schedule that they will have to follow. On the field, they must come to training with 100% focus and must be ready to train hard and compete.

What are the do's and don'ts of being recruited?

Don't send mass emails to coaches. Please make it personal. Don't contact me unless you are seriously interested in Emmanuel College. I want to dedicate my time to those players who have shown genuine interest.

What is the best advice you can offer a recruit?

Start early, do your research, narrow down your list, visit campuses, and keep communication lines open with coaches.

What really jumps out to you when reviewing a recruit's highlight tape?

I don't like highlight tapes. I prefer game tapes. Anyone can look good on a highlight video. Game tapes give me more information.

When do you recommend recruits put together and share their highlight reels? Is it best to make their highlight reel during the offseason, in the middle of season, or after each game?

Whenever possible. The more exposure, the better.

What advice do you have for recruits who get turned down by their dream schools? What are their options if they don't gain the recruiting attention they desire?

First, players have to be realistic about their ability. Ask someone whom you trust about your ability. Second, do your research about the college. What are their needs for the upcoming ? Are you a good fit for their program? What is their player style like? Can you play for that coach, etc.?

How big a factor is social media when recruiting players? What advice do you have for athletes regarding social media?

Please clean up your . As an incoming player, you are about to represent the college.
