Lots of high school athletes want to play in college, and if you're reading this, you're probably one of them! But do you know what you're signing up for? Take a look into a day in the life of former Westmont College baseball player Sam Kim and find out for yourself.
6:00 am
Sam heads to the weight room for a team lifting session. These usually end just before 8:00 AM classes start.

8:00 am-12:00 pm
Time for classes and lunch–this is the part of the day where Sam focuses on his studies and fueling up for practice that occurs later in the day. NAIA schools value the education of their athletes and the small school sizes at NAIA school foster a good learning environment that caters to every athlete's needs and schedules.

3:30 pm-6:00 pm
Time for baseball practice. Westmont College holds a big roster of around 50 athletes, so they have to be flexible with practice times, but usually the players finish all their classes before the afternoon. On Saturdays, practices usually start at around 9:00 am and they usually consist of drills and game planning for upcoming matchups on the schedule.

6:00 pm-7:15 pm
After practice the team has another lifting session for about an hour.
7:30 pm
Post practice is a time for Sam to get all his homework done and get rest for the next day. Lifting sessions are always early in the morning, which means that Sam has to stick to a sleep schedule, so he has energy for the next day of school and practice
