Daily Grind articles are posted every Wednesday to provide a look into a day in the life of a college athlete and give an example of time management skills.
Chandler Harmon was a DII tennis player at Loyola University New Orleans. Chandler is studying economics and is currently abroad at the London School of Economics but she knows all to well that as a college athlete, it is important to manage your time in the classroom and on the court. Time-management skills will help you find balance when it comes to all of the daily tasks you need to complete. Here is what Chandler's day-to-day life as a college athlete looked like.
8:00 am – 9:00 am Team Workout
In the mornings the tennis team gets together to do a team workout. Chandler said this is a great way for the players to build team camaraderie and do strength & conditioning training.
9:30 am Breakfast
This is Chandler's favorite meal of the day. It's important to refuel after a hard workout!
10:00 am – 12:00 pm Classes
During this period Chandler is grinding in class and trying to complete small assignments when she has breaks between the two classes.

12:00 pm Lunch
Chandler eats lunch to help her replenish her energy for her afternoon practice with the tennis team.
3:00 pm – 6:00 pm Team Practice
This is the most exhausting part of Chandler's day because she is working out the entire time and trying to improve her tennis skills.
7: 00 pm – 8:00 pm Shower & Dinner
Once Chandler is back to her dorm room she wants to unwind and clean up so she can study for the rest of the night

8:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Chandler uses the last few hours in her day to crank out some schoolwork!
10:00 pm Bedtime
Chandler hits the hay early so she can feel replenished for her early start the next day!
