These improvements caught the eye of many coaches including the one at her current school. Conveniently, East already had intentions of attending the university as she had gained admission academically. East's athletic talent and adaptability in multiple Olympic sports is unprecedented and her talents in academics allowed her to gain admission into Cal without the need for athletics at all. It's clear that East is a well-rounded athlete equipped with resilience and work ethic that enabled her to be successful across many different fields.
