started out as a redshirt freshman at Ohio State University in 2015. As a backup for J.T. and over the following two seasons, was only able to get in 10 games over two seasons. Joe did everything right at Ohio State, but was ultimately blocked by the other quarterbacks at the school, causing him to enter the as a redshirt junior.

After landing at LSU, Joe Burrow started his redshirt junior . After that, he was ready to step up for his final season as a player–Burrow's senior campaign was a hard one to beat: he scored 60 touchdowns, won the Heisman, and won a national championship. Burrow had a historic season, just two years after being a third string at another school.
