Stetson Bennett came out of high school as a two-star recruit with only one scholarship offer from Middle Tennessee State. Most coaches felt that Bennett was too small to be successful at the collegiate level (5 foot 10 inches and 185 pounds). Bennett decided to walk on at Georgia and fight for a starting position. He did not play at all in his first season, so he decided to transfer to Jones College (JUCO). After one season at Jones College, Bennett was going to commit to Louisiana University, but Georgia reached out and was in need of a second-string quarterback. Bennett gladly accepted the offer and made his return to Georgia.

In 2021, Bennett won the starting position because of the poor play from the starting quarterback, JT Daniels. He went 11-1 as a starter and led Georgia to a National Championship victory over Alabama. Bennett passed for 224 yards and 2 touchdowns while being named Offensive MVP of the game. Many still doubted Bennett going into the next season but he silenced all of his doubters by winning back-to-back National titles. The Bulldogs went 15-0 with Bennett having a total of 6 touchdowns. Bennett became only the second quarterback to win back-to-back National titles, joining AJ McCarren from the University of Alabama. After winning two titles, the doubters continued by saying that he would not get drafted to the NFL. He proved everyone wrong once again after getting drafted by the Rams 128th overall. Look out for Bennett in the upcoming NFL seasons!
