Athletes, go ahead and send this article to your parents to send a subtle hint about what you want for Christmas this year. Here are the 5 best Christmas gifts for athletes

 New Equipment

From basketball to swimming and every sport in between, every athlete loves some new equipment. New shoes, a fresh pair of cleats or a new golf club, some new equipment is never a bad thing. If an athlete already gets equipment from their school, some new clothes work just as well as a gift from Santa.

Massage Guns

Santa will splurge on message guns. Massage guns are perfect for athletes and having one will change an athlete's life. Most massage guns come with different parts so that whatever part of the body is sore or hurting, it will do the trick and make an athlete feel good as new.

Headphones

Many athletes listen to music to get ready for game day whether it be hype music, sad songs, or party playlists to be in a ready mood, so headphones can be an athlete's best friend. Airpods or Beats (or any upgrade on headphones for that matter) make great gifts for any athlete who loves getting those pregame vibes in through music.

Clothes

College athletes are still college kids at the end of the day, so new clothes never fail to make a great gift–like some new shirts to wear to hang out with friends or another pair of leggings and sweatpants to lounge around in. A couple of Under shirts and a pair of gloves for when it gets cold around this holiday time is not a bad idea either.

Gift cards

Gift cards to local restaurants, especially the healthy ones, would be Santa doing his very best work. Every athlete knows the struggle of trying to get good into their system post-practice and post-game. Sometimes practice is during the open hours of the cafeteria or after the home game on the weekend, it's late at night and school dining options just aren't open anymore. Local restaurants are just calling an athlete's name and there is nothing better than getting that meal, especially when it's free because of a gift card.

The holidays are coming up and this gift list is perfect for college athletes. From equipment to gift cards, these gifts from Santa are sure to make a college athlete happy and put them in the holiday spirit.
