Christmas is coming up and for all collegiate athletes, the holidays are a great time to get all the gear you need to play at your best. With that in mind, take a look at this list of five Christmas gifts for any collegiate soccer player so they come out of Christmas time with everything they need and want.
New Cleats
This is an obvious but necessary item on the list–it's safe to say that there are few collegiate soccer players on this planet that like to play with beat-up cleats or cleats that they've outgrown. On occasion, you'll meet a soccer player that is superstitious and has used the same pair for a couple of years (myself), but even they would gladly accept a new pair to use only for training so that the other pair doesn't break. As for the other 99% of collegiate soccer players, they will be more than satisfied with a new pair of cleats to upgrade or to stay up to date with the new trends and get moving for the next season.

Workout Clothes
It is officially the offseason for almost all collegiate soccer players outside of the select few left in the NCAA Championship. That means it is time to get back to the gym, and nothing is better for an athlete on the grind than some fresh workout clothes. From new shirts for the lifts to new running shoes for the cardio, any collegiate athlete would be more than happy to accept some new workout clothes.
Jerseys
Many collegiate soccer players watch soccer as well, and if they don't they certainly do now with the World Cup in full swing. A jersey of their favorite player, from their favorite team, or from an International team that just has a really cool jersey is a gift from Santa that any collegiate soccer player wouldn't mind.
Protein Shakes, Snacks, and Energy Drinks
Post-workout recovery is something every collegiate soccer player needs in their life. Protein shakes will do just that and help add that much-needed muscle to take them to the next level physically for the upcoming season. To fuel that workout, energy drinks are great and so many college athletes use them. After a long day of classes and work, some caffeine is never a bad thing (unless it's from Celsius since it's newly banned). Plus, protein shakes and snacks make great stocking stuffers!

Goalkeeper Gloves
Lastly, a shout out to the goalkeepers of every collegiate soccer team: A pair of gloves that are just right and have that new glove grip that every keeper knows and loves is a great gift from Santa. Whether they are for training or for games, I'm positive every keeper (as I am one myself) would be as happy as can be with a new pair of gloves under the tree.
This Christmas list made specifically for collegiate soccer players was written by a collegiate soccer player so trust me when I tell you that any soccer player will be happy with something from this list.
