Although field hockey is one of the biggest sports in Europe, it is still up-and-coming in the United States. Several field hockey gear brands that have been excelling for quite some time are finally starting to reach a greater population across the pond. 

Field hockey gear is an interesting industry because some of the most popular sports gear brands in the world do not really make gear for field hockey. For instance, Nike does not make any field hockey gear, leaving Nike-sponsored NCAA schools to find a different brand for field hockey gear. The new NIL guidelines in the NCAA have also presented some interesting opportunities for field hockey gear brands, as many of the top college field hockey athletes have partnered with different field hockey gear brands. That said, here are the top 4 gear brands for field hockey athletes in need of some new swag:

Adidas 

Adidas is one of the most, if not the most, well-known field hockey gear brands in the United States. Adidas sponsors a large number of NCAA universities, which has helped it gain popularity and the brand clearly dominates the field hockey gear and apparel industry in the U.S., as their apparel is much more established than that of other field hockey brands. For example, Adidas sticks are excellent for fast hands and quick ball handling skills. Aside from field hockey sticks, Adidas sells shoes, gear, teamwear, and uniforms.

TK/Longstreth

TK/Longstreth is also starting to establish itself as a solid field hockey brand in the United States. The brand is using the NCAA's new NIL freedom to its advantage by signing some elite field hockey athletes in the United States. This brand is most well-established in Manheim, Germany, but TK's popularity for the sticks they make is skyrocketing stateside as well. TK sticks are arguably the best stick for sweeping, passing, and hitting in field hockey. TK/Longstreth also sells protection, bags, goalkeeping gear, accessories, textiles, and shoes. 

STX

STX's rise to fame in the field hockey world is largely due to its sticks. The brand is not 

really known for its clothing, but instead known for its sticks, gloves, and protective gear. 

A big reason that STX is becoming more popular with NCAA field hockey is due to its 

involvement with other NCAA sports, including lacrosse and ice hockey. Its wide range of products is the biggest selling point and what sets STX apart from other brands. STX sells sticks, goggles, protective gear, bags, accessories, and field hockey starter packs.

Grays Hockey 

Grays Hockey is another field hockey gear brand that has been consistent in high school 

and college field hockey. Similar to STX, Grays is most well-known for its consistently 

superb sticks, but the brand also sells protective gear, bags, shoes, balls, clothing, goalie 

gear, and accessories. Grays's main selling point is its consistency. Many field hockey 

athletes use Grays from the beginning of their playing careers to the end, as Grays sticks 

are known to last for a while compared to other sticks.
